Join Reliable Scale at the 2019 Calgary Stampede “UFA Cattle Trail”

For the 9th year, Reliable Scale will participate in the “Cattle Trail” with UFA.

Did you know that 39% of the Canadian beef herd lives here in Alberta? Throughout the 10 days of Stampede each year, we weigh thousands of people and answer hundreds of questions about how and why weighing is important to beef production.

Questions like…

  1. Why do you weigh cows?
  2. How often do cows get weighed?
  3. How much does a cow normally weigh?

The UFA Cattle Trail at the Calgary Stampede is a FREE onsite activation that connects the local beef industry and the public. The purpose is to show how beef goes “from pasture to plate.” The trail is made up of a number of booths from local industry providers where the different aspects of beef production are showcased. The UFA Cattle Trail gives visitors to Calgary Stampede an opportunity to see and learn where their food comes from. The interactive display area also showcases animals from a number of local producers to give visitors their first up close look at beef cattle and an opportunity to ask questions and take pictures.
